Dare GOP Resolution on the ACA

Prepared by the Dare County Republican Party Executive Committee

Whereas every Republican United States Senator and Representative currently in office was elected or reelected at least in part to go to Washington, DC, to repeal the repugnant Affordable Care Act (Obamacare),

And whereas the Obamacare system causes grossly undue health access burdens on American citizens and has driven the cost of health insurance to unaffordable rates,

And whereas voters delivered the White House into Republican hands in 2016 to ensure that all three branches of government are now firmly Republican,

And whereas during the Obama presidency Republicans in both chambers on numerous occasions handily passed Obamacare repeal bills that never reached the floor for vote due to Republicans being in the minority,

And whereas since the Trump presidency started the US Congress has failed up to this point to even present a bill that either chamber would vote for,

And whereas there is currently no obstacle for repealing Obamacare.

Therefore be it resolved that the Dare County Republican Party will not support any candidate who fails to vote to repeal Obamacare before the end of 2017,

And, be it further resolved that the Dare County Republican Party will not help to hand out or put up signs, bumper stickers, raise funds or make contributions to, or handout palm cards, for any candidate currently in office who fails to vote to repeal Obamacare before the end of 2017.

And be it further resolved that this resolution will be shared with all North Carolina County and District Republican Executive Committees for their consideration and adoption,

And be it further resolved that this resolution will be delivered to all available media outlets and posted on all available websites and social media pages,

And be it further resolved that we ask those we elected as our representatives to do this one job and not to rest – to cancel vacations and time off with the exception of sick time or other emergency – until it is accomplished.

This Resolution was adopted August 20, 2017, by the Dare County Republican Party Executive Committee.
